Charlie P. Coffey is a visual artist, curator, art historian, library worker, and collector based in Connecticut. Charlie uses photography to explore place and its psychological connection to the individual. His art blends the genres of landscape and documentary photography, with a propensity toward connections to the greater history of photography.

He was born and raised in Iowa and the visual tradition of the state informs his work. He is a self-taught darkroom technician. Charlie is currently Visual Resources Curator at Wesleyan University Library.
